PROOF THAT SILENCE IS GOLDEN FOR STUDYING

The combination of music and study has long been a source of disagreement between adults and children. Parents and teachers alike maintain that silence is important when learning, (1) _______ youngsters insist that their favorite sounds help them concentrate.
