I. Objectives

After the lesson, students are able to:

  • Asking and answering questions about what someone did in the past.
  • Listen for specific information. Develop: speaking skill.
  • Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves.
  • Studious and obedient students and love their friends.

II. Language focus:

  • Vocabulary: about places, the time in the past, V+ed
  • Sentence patterns: What did you do yesterday? – I + V+ ed

III. Teaching aids:

  1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, objects, cassette.
  2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

Warm up: Play game

 

1. Look, listen and repeat.

- Guide Ss to look the pictures.

 

 

- Explain new the grammar: using to ask and answer about what someone did in the past.

- Check and correct.

2. Point and say

Introduce Verb + ed and how to read them.

- Guide ss how to answer this question.

- Do picture a as a model.

- Correct.

3. Let’s talk

- Give the help when necessary

 

- Listen and correct.

 

Reinforcement and homelink:

Ss play Chinese whisper game.

- Play in 3 groups.

 

- Ss open their books on P.66 picture and identify the characters and what they are doing

- Ss listen to the dialogue.

- Listen and repeat each line of the dialogue.

What did ...?- I ...

- Read in 2 groups (play role).

- Some pairs to read aloud. Others give comments.

- Look and identify characters’ activities.

- Reading after T & note down.

- Ss practice acting out the dialogue point & use the information in picture a, b, c in pair.

- 6-7 pairs say in front of the class. Others give comments.

 

- Talk in pair to ask and answer questions about what someone did in the past.

- 7-8 pairs display in class. The rest of the class give comments.

 

- Ss to do Ex in Part E at home.
