Aims: Help Ss to improve some skills: listening and speaking.

Introduce some countries and their capitals in the world.

A. ObjectivesBy the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

  • discriminate between the name of country, nationality and language
  • present, ask and answer about nationality and language.

B. Language content:

*Vocab: world, country, nationality, language ...

* Grammar: Present simple tense

C. Preparations: Text-book, lesson plan, cassette, disc

Ways of working: T-WC, individual-work, pair-work, group work.

Anticipated problems:

  • Weak Ss may have difficulty when speaking.
  • Solution: Call good Ss practice first, then encourage weak Ss do the same.

Ask Ss about their private information.

  • What’s your name?
  • Where do you live?
  • Which language do you speak every day?
