I. AIMS/OBJECTIVES OF THE LESSON
1. Language focus: By the end of the lesson, teacher has:
- To help students develop their listening skills to get general and specific information
- To provide students with new words and vocabulary to listen to narrative speakers
2. Skills: Listening + Speaking /Writing/Reading
3. Attitudes: Ss are eager to listen about Boston Marathon
II. PREPARATION
1. Teacher:
- Teaching aids: Lesson plan, text book, radio, tape
- Teaching method: Communicative language teaching
2. Students: Read Unit 6 – listening at home
III. PROCEDURE:
1. Class organization (1 minute)
2. Check – up (5 minutes) - Some Ss go to the board, describe a competition
3. New lesson (35 minutes)
