Pink eye, one of the most common diseases, is caused by bacteria, viruses or allergies. It often starts in one eye and then spreads to the other one. To prevent the disease, you should follow some tips. First, good hygiene is the best way to prevent pink eye from spreading at home. Thorough hand washing for at least 20 seconds. Do not share towels, pillows, or bedding while symptoms are present. Wash all bedding and towels with hot water and detergent. Next, throw away old eye comestics, such as mascara. Last not but least, don’t touch your eyes with your hands.

Pink eye is a contagious disease, which can be caused by bacteria, viruses or allergies. To protect yourself and others from pink eye, you need follow these steps. First, wash your hands often with soap and water at least 20 seconds. Next, avoid touching or rubbing your eyes. This can worsen the condition or spread it to your other eye. Avoid sharing personal items, such as makeup, eye drops, towels, bedding, contact lenses and containers, and eyeglasses. Finally, clean, store and replace your contact lenses as instructed by your eyes doctor.
