Model Answer:
The environment is facing many hazards continuously and the imprudent human action is the first and foremost reason for this. Humans are getting resources from the environment and our life on earth primarily depends on nature. If this continues, there will be an imbalance in the future world. To protect the environment, some people suggest increasing the fuel price as they think that fuel price would reduce the private car ownership and would give a check in the uncontrolled industrialisation.
As per the statement, fuel is a part of the hazardous human activities which is harming the environment. By increasing the price of the fuel, the authority might reduce the cars running on the street but that will also be a burden to the fuel users. But they will find an alternative way to overcome the price rise. Moreover, the increasing price of the fuel would also increase the price of necessary products. Poor, thus, would find it even harder to maintain their daily expenses. Therefore, this method will not be a solution to stop continuously increasing environmental hazards.
Chemical wastages and solid wastages are also hazardous to the environment. These harms will not stop by increasing fuel prices. Improper removal of electronic wastes is also a danger to the environment. Usage of Chloro Floro Carbon (CFC) in electrical equipment such as the refrigerator, is unavoidable and the use of such household electronics is increasing day by day. This will not be controlled by increasing the price of the fuel.
This system might be useful to a certain extent in some developing countries. Due to economic reasons, many people in such countries would not use their private cars. But this might not be useful for developed countries since they could overcome from this situation easily. Also, in fuel rich countries, such as Middle East countries, this will be useless and their profit margin from fuel sales would increase.
Therefore, increasing the fuel price is one method of controlling hazards occur through fuel gasification. But, we need to include many integrated systems to stop environmental damages, especially for the benefit of our future generations.

Band 7:
Most people would accept that one of the highest priorities today is to find a solution to the various environmental problems facing mankind. It has been suggested that best way to achieve this is for governments to raise the price of fuel. I am, however, not sure that this is necessarily the case.
One reason why this approach may not work is that there is not just one environmental problem the world faces today. If governments did make fuel more expensive, it might well help reduce the amount of carbon dioxide we produce and so slow down the rate of global warming and air pollution. However, it would not help with other major problems such as intensive farming, overpopulation, the hole in the ozone layer or water pollution. For these problems we need to find other solutions.
A second reason why this policy may not be the most appropriate is that it places the emphasis on governmental policy and not individual responsibility. Ultimately, most environmental problems are the result of the way we as individuals live our lives. If we wish to find a long-term and lasting solution to them, we need to learn to live in a way that it is greener or kinder to the environment. What governments need to do to make this happen is to ensure there is a global programme to educate people of all ages about the environmental consequences to their actions.
In summary, I believe that increasing the level of taxation on fuel is at best a short-term solution to only one environmental problem. If we wish to provide a home for our children's children, education is likely to be the key to making this happen.
Sample 3:
Excessive traffic and increasing pollution are affecting every major city in the globe. To lessen such problems, some people say that governments should raise the price of fuel such as petrol and diesel. It may help to some extent but I disagree that it is the best solution to solve the problem of environment.
To begin with, the number of cars in a country directly depends on the proportion of the population affluent enough to own cars. As a result, raises in gas price could invoke hard feelings among this segment of people but would not drastically change their behaviour in using cars. Even if the number of cars on road is reduced due to higher gas cost, this is not the best way to solve traffic problems. Such policy would hurt the auto industry, place higher costs on current and prospective car owners, and
be detrimental to the economy of a nation. In the long run, the final way out could be the construction of better roads and more effective use of available transport facilities.
Secondly, there is evidence that waste gas from cars is not the leading cause of air pollution. The culprit may be the discharge of polluting substances into the atmosphere due to the rapidly growing manufacturing industry. As a result, reduction of the number of cars would not return us a blue sky and fresh air. We could better handle this problem if we could increase control over industrial waste-discharge and adopt more environmental friendly materials and production equipment.
Finally, other measures like the application of cheaper and cleaner energy resources could also be a better solution. For example, we now have the ability to make cell- powered or even solar-powered cars. Such energy is completely clean and plentiful.
To put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying that, it is not the best way to control traffic and pollution by increasing gas price because such action will hurt consumers and economy without achieving what it is aimed for. Measures such as construction of better transport facilities and development of new energy resources could be more effective solutions.

Sample Answer 1:
It is a fact that advertisements are now widespread on mass media. Some people believe that these do not serve any beneficial purposes and even spoil the society. There should be an advertising restriction to hinder their negative impacts on customers. So everything has its own pros and cons and that is why someone rightly said that all that glitters is not gold.
It is understandable that people want to remove advertisements from our lives because advertisements can be disturbing, therefore the pumping out of advertisement on the internet is distractive when doing research online and insertion of ads during TV dramas and movies is obnoxious. Moreover, advertisements are sometimes misleading and cause impulsive purchase thus the exaggeration and eye-binding techniques employed in the advertisement overshadow the true function of products and the consumers, especially the young people, would fall victims to this intensive commercial completion.
On the other side, it is irrefutable that the proponents of advertisement argue that it is unfair to ban advertisement because it is the only efficient and viable way to show their products. If the advertisement is eradicated then the link between products and consumers would be cut off. Without advertisement, companies would find it hard to reach out to their customers. Consequently, giant companies would manipulate the market and small companies would never be known by the public. Furthermore, advertisement provides more options to consumers.
To draw the conclusion, I pen down by stating that advertisement is disturbing now and then, there is realistic need of it. The government should make them more trustworthy. Nowadays, the advertisement is an inescapable and necessary existence.

Sample Answer 2:
There is no denying the fact that advertisement plays a vital role in human life. The advertisement is the backbone of commerce and industry. It is a source of information as well as the source of entertainment. It is important for us. These days are the days of marketing. We cannot think of life without advertisement. Without advertisements, life is like a fish without water. No businessman or industrialist can ever hope of tapping the market without proper advertisement. Advertisements are all around us - on television, radio and newspaper.
Apropos to above parable about the conversation, many people hold the opinion that advertisement is an important part of our life because the advertisement is the best way to educate the people. For instance, they inform the people about new products, their uses, merits and other similar products available in the market. Moreover, many advertisements are issued by the government agencies, NGOs, and social welfare organisation which have great value in education the people. Furthermore, advertisements raise the standard of living of the people.
On the flip side, those who disagree with this point of view mention that those advertisements have their disadvantages because they distort and exaggerate reality. In addition to it, they aim at profits. Furthermore, another objection is that many advertisements are bad for that they provide the wrong information to the people. Besides this, the producers have become profit hungry. They throw the moral values to the winds.
To conclude, I pen down by stating that advertisements put deep influence on the people's mind. Some advertisements advise people the direction of the right path. Good advertisements help the people to choose the right products and make informed decisions.

Band 7:
Advertising has great emphasis on the general public. Nowadays, the consumerism changed the dynamics of shopping trends. The vast media and advertising go hand in hand. The numerous ways to advertise the product hit the general attitude of buying the product. There is always clash of arguments among people, some assert that the society would benefit from a ban on all forms of advertising because it serves no useful purpose, and can even be damaging while others presume that advertising plays a crucial role in today's scenario. In my perception, advertising is the present and the future and it must not be banned.
To begin with, one can not shun the fact that solely because of advertisement, an individual came to know about the on going trends and the new better products available in the market. It has been seen that from last one decade, advertisement substantially affect the industry. Advertisement should not be banned because it attributed to numerous parameters. Firstly, convenience for public, an individual may learn and aware about the new products and items in the market for example, television is the ultimate source to fetch information about the different product currently present in stores. Secondly, price list, one could compare the prices of various products present in the market and could buy as accordance to his/her pocket as for an illustration, there are countless food brands in the market, offering same item at different rate such as potato chips etcetera. Thirdly, one can learn about the difficult schemes and offers in a simple way because the company portrays their products in a most effective and easy way. With the passage of time, everything is changed in the surroundings and advertisement is the ultimate result of technological development, so it must be welcomed and one should enjoy the immense benefits from the advertisement.
Moving further, as everything that glitters is not gold, sometimes the faux people portrays their product in a wrong way for an example the fairness creams and lotions which offer skin fairness in 4 weeks and pragmatically it is not possible. The general public is very innocent and struck in the traps of the leading companies. Some advertisement serves no useful purpose. The monopoly of the leading companies, largely harm the public. These are the reasons because of which the good products also seems to be fake. There are some herbal products which has got no severe harm but an individual never believe on it because of bad experiences in the past. Moreover, the companies target children because they are most innocent and largely influenced customers. In addition to this, companies offers different perks to children as for an example, a free toy with a chocolate or any food item. An individual must not trust the advertisement blindly and must take care of the plagiarism.
To recapitulate, I would like to say that advertisement is an essential need of today. One must enjoy the benefits of advertisement and keep himself/ herself updated and should also take care of the faux products.
