I. Objectives

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- identify action is happening

- write correctly and beautifully word “oo”

- sing well about some activities

II. Teaching aids

- Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette, recording

- Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

IIII. Procedures

*Warm up: Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson

A. Practice

Activity 5. Let’s talk

- Look at the pictures to understand the context

- Point to the pictures and say action is happening

- Read sentence: He’s drawing a …. / She’s riding a …/ She’s buying …

- Role play

- Call some pairs

**T’s assessment: voice, pronunciation, intonation

Activity 6. Look and write

- Students observe and say the content

- Write oo. Complete: f_ _ d, sch_ _ l, ball_ _ n, sc_ _ ter

- Exchange and comment notebooks. Then read I

Activity 7. Sing!

- Look picture and say the content

- Read the lyrics

- Play the recording to sing the song

- Sing the song and do the actions. Call a group to the front of the class to sing.

** T’s assessment: phonics, speed, stress and rhythm.

B. Application

- Learn the song by heart.

UNIT 9: ON THE RIVER

Lesson 1

I. Objectives

By the end of the lesson, student will be able to:

- listen and identify some new words: blouse, trousers, house, mouse

- Listen to the recording a few times

- Listen and repeat word by word

- Listen, point and repeat

- Work in groups to repeat

** T’s assessment: listen and pay attention to their voice, pronunciation and intonation.

Activity 2: Do the workbook

C. Application

- Learn new words by heart.
