NEW YEAR’S CELEBRATIONS AROUND THE WORLD
On New Year’s Eve, each H’Mong family kills a rooster. They take some red feathers from the rooster and stick them to the drawings of the Sun in their house. This will start the New Year.
Thai New Year is in April, the hottest time of the year. One tradition is to throw water over people. They believe that this activity will bring a lot of rain in the New Year.
