UNIT 9: MY FAMILY
Lesson 5
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can say, recognize, and write the letter Ww.
- Pupils can recognize and say the sound /w/.
- Pupil can develop fine motor control.
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review the letters Uu and Vv with the flashcards.
A. Presentation
1. Learn the letter
Step 1: Say W, walk and water. Pupils repeat the words.
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Tell pupils to practice.
B. Practice
2. Sing
Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.
Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to repeat after teacher.
Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.
C. Production
3. Find
Step 1: Tell pupils to find the letter w in the alphabet.
Step 2: Tell pupils to look at the main picture on the page.
Step 3: Say water and walk. Check that pupils are pointing to the jug of water and the girl walking.
D. Application
- Learn new words by heart.
WEEK 31 – PERIOD 62
UNIT 9: MY FAMILY
Lesson 6
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can develop listening skills in English.
- Pupils can understand and enjoy a story
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review family members.
A. Presentation
1. Look and say
Step 1: Say point to picture 1-4.
Step 2: Ask pupils questions about the story in their own language.
B. Practice
2. Listen
Step 1: Play the CD and pause between each frame.
Step 2: Ask pupils to tell you in their own language what they understood..
Step 3: Play CD again.
C. Production
3. Listen and act
Step 1: Play the CD and pause between each frame.
Step 2: Tell the class that they are going to act out the story.
Step 3: Ask other groups to act out the story.
D. Application
- Learn new words by heart.
