UNIT 3: MY TOYS
Lesson 3
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can say, recognize, and write the letter Ee.
- Pupils can recognize and say the sound /e/.
- Pupils can develop fine motor control.
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review the word Dd.
A. Presentation
1. Learn the letter
Step 1: Say Ee, egg and elephant. Pupils repeat the words.
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Have pupils repeat the letter name and letter sound.
Step 4: Tell pupils to practice.
B. Practice
1. Sing
Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.
Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to repeat after teacher.
Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.
C. Production
1. Find
Step 1: Tell pupils to find the letter e in the alphabet.
Step 2: Tell pupils to look at the main picture on page 18.
Step 3: Say egg and elephant. Check that pupils are pointing to the egg and elephant.
D. Application
- Learn a song by heart.
WEEK 9 – PERIOD 18
UNIT 3: MY TOYS
Lesson 4
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can identify, write, and use numbers 3 and 4.
- Pupils can develop fine motor control.
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review the words for the toys.
A. Presentation
1. Count 3-4
Step 1: Write the number 3 and 4.
Step 2: Say three and four.
Step 3: Point to the correct picture.
Step 4: Check that pupils are pointing to the correct picture.
B. Practice
1. Sing
Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.
Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to repeat after teacher.
Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.
2. Sing and do
Step 1: Give the four number flashcards for 4 pupils.
Step 2: Ask two or three pupils to stand at the door and sing the lines Knock, knock, knock, on the door and Come in! Time for fun!
Step 3: Tell the rest of the pupils to sing the other lines.
C. Production
1. Find and count
Step 1: Explain that the pupils are going to count the number of objects..
Step 2: Play the CD and ask pupils to count along with the pupils in the recording.
Step 3: Pause the CD to allow pupils time to count. Continue the recording to check the answer for each.
D. Application
- Learn number by heart.
