UNIT 10: MY FOOD
Lesson 4
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can say the names and sounds of the letters from a-x.
- Pupils can develop fine motor control.
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review the letters a-x on the board.
A. Presentation
1. Make
Step 1: Tell pupils to look at picture 4.
Step 2: Divide the class into six groups. Assign each group four letters.
Step 3: Explain that pupils are going to write one of the capital and lower case forms of their four assigned letters on one side of each shape.
B. Practice
2. Sing
Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.
Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to repeat after teacher.
Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.
C. Production
3. Sing and point
Step 1: Ask each pupil to present the letters and pictures on his or her mobile.
Step 2: Tell the pupils to sing a song again as they point to the mobile with those letters.
Step 3: Sing the song.
D. Application
- Learn the song by heart.

UNIT 10: MY FOOD
Lesson 5-6
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can say, recognize, and write the letters Yy and Zz.
- Pupils can understand and enjoy a story.
- Pupils can develop fine motor control.
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review the letters X and the colours with the flashcards.
A. Presentation
1. Learn the letter
Step 1: Say yo-yo, yogurt, zebra and zero. Pupils repeat the words.
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Have pupils repeat the letter word and letter sound.
Step 4: Tell pupils to practice.
B. Practice
1. Sing
Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.
Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to repeat after teacher.
Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.
2. Find
Step 1: Tell pupils to find the letter y and z in the alphabet.
Step 2: Tell pupils to look at the bottom of the page 62.
Step 3: Say yo-yo, yogurt, zebra and zero. Check that pupils are pointing to them.
C. Production
3. Look and say
Step 1: Say Point to picture and check comprehension.
Step 2: Ask pupils questions about the story in their own language.
4. Listen
Step 1: Play the CD and pause between each frame.
Step 2: Ask pupils to tell you in their own language what they understood..
Step 3: Play CD again.
5. Listen and act
Step 1: Play the CD and pause between each frame.
Step 2: Tell the class that they are going to act out the story.
Step 3: Ask other groups to act out the story.
D. Application
- Learn vocabularies by heart.
