I. AIMS/OBJECTIVES OF THE LESSON

2. Skills: To help Ss develop their writing skills to write a passage
3. Attitudes: To encourage Ss work in pairs and groups

III. PROCEDURE
1. Class organization (1 minute)
2. Check – up (5 minutes)- Some Ss go to the board, talk about endangered species
3. New lesson (35 minutes)

2. Task 2 - Write the paragraph based on the information in task 1 There are a number of measures that should be taken to protect endangered animals. Firstly, People do not know much about the need to protect rare and endangered animals. So we should organize different types of activities to raise people’s awareness of the need to protect these animals. For example, competitions with the topic of protecting wildlife should be held on TV and radio, more information about nature should be provided. Besides, stricter laws need passing to have severe punishment as well as reward policy to protect endangered animals. In addition, we shouldn’t destroy the natural habitats where these animals live. Instead of cutting down forests, we must plant more trees. We can also recycle the rubbish instead of discharging it into the environment. There should be campaigns to tell people not to use fashionable wildlife products. For people who live in or near endangered animals’ habitats, the government should invest more money to encourage them to take up other jobs.
