I. Aims and objectives of the lesson:

1. Aim: Able read correctly the falling tune, use some phrasal verbs

II- Procedures:

1. Check up:

- Ask one student to write a short description of an international organization on board.

- Ask Qs with the whole class.

- Give remarks and marks.

2. Intonation:

- Aims: to introduce the falling tune and to help students to read these sentences correctly.

- Introduce the falling tune.

- Read each sentences twice and then ask students to listen and repeat.

- Ask students to look at the book, then listen and repeat.

- Ask students to practice reading these sentences in groups.

- Ask some students to read aloud and give remarks.

- Ask students to look at part 2 and tell students what they are going to do.

- Remind them of the intonation of the questions.

- move round to help if necessary.

3. Grammar: (20mins)

Exercise1

- Ask students to do Ex 1 individually in 5 minutes, then share their answers with their partners.

- Explain any new words if necessary.

- Ask students to do Ex 2 orally in pairs in 2 minutes.

- Move round to conduct the activity.

- Ask 2 students to report.

- Present the phrasal verbs.

- Ask some students to tell the meaning of some phrasal verbs

Exercise 3:

- Ask students to look at Ex 3 and explain what students are going to do.

- Ask students to do this exercise in 5 minutes , then share their answers with their partners.

- Ask them to pay attention to the meaning of the words in brackets.

- Ask 2 students to do this exercise on the board.

- Move round to help students if necessary.

- Check and give remarks.
