Conflict between parents and children is unavoidable and it is a part of family life. Conflict happens when they disagree based on their own goals, values, or beliefs. Firstly, they have opinions about personal apperances. Parents who value traditonal looks don’t allow their children to wear short skirts or have heavy make-up. It is a bit ironic that many teenagers want to express their individuality by getting a tattoo or wear unique clothes. Another conflict is related to grades when children do not meet their parents’ demands. Almost parents want their children earning A+ or A. To ease the conflict, both parties should make a decision together. Parents should avoid telling their teens that they have to do something. Decide on a solution together when both parties are calm enugh to make rational decisions.
