Nội dung bài nghe
John: Hi, Jane. How's it going?
Jane: Hi, John. Okay, I guess. I've got a social project to do on rural urban migration, and it's given me a lot to think about.
John: Right. It's interesting because more and more people are moving from rural areas to urban ones. But is this a good thing or a bad thing? What do you think?
Jane: I'm not sure. Cities offer more job opportunities, higher salaries, and easier access to goods and services. They have rapid transit systems available for convenient travel and high quality of education, so they are positive points.
John: Right. And they also offer better access to medical facilities, modern housing, and many recreational activities options.
Jane: That's true. But cities are also often crowded, polluted, and noisy. Why would people leave the beauty, fresh air, and peacefulness of the countryside? I wouldn't do it. I would rather live in the countryside.
John: Well, it's because there are fewer industries and jobs there, and the infrastructure isn't always so good, so it's difficult to get around.
Jane: Right. I guess also rural areas don't have the same public services as cities, and there are fewer recreational opportunities.
John: Not only that, most people in rural areas are mostly farmers. So if their crops fail, or there is a natural disaster, they don't always have a choice but to move to the city to find other work.
Jane: Yes. Well, thanks, John. You've given me lots to think about from my project.
John: You're welcome.
