Alan: Good morning, listeners. If you’ve just joined us, we’re discussing today’s big question. This morning’s big question is “What will cities be like in the future?” On line one, we have Jane. Hi, Jane. What’s your prediction for cities in the future?
Jane: More people will definitely live in cities. They will probably need more energy-efficient public transportation to prevent traffic congestion.
Alan: Thank you, Jane. On line two, we have Logan calling from Stow Bedon. What’s your prediction, Logan?
Logan: We’ll possibly have self-driving cars and taxis in future cities. I’m still not one hundred percent sure.
Alan: That’s a good prediction. But will they be safe?
Logan: Yes. I think they will probably have technology to prevent accidents.
Alan: Thanks, Logan. On line three, we have Susan from Beccles. What do you think?
Susan: We have to stop global warming, so all city transportation will definitely be electric. Do you agree, Alan?
Alan: Yes. I think I might agree with you, Susan. Electric cars are already popular. Commuters definitely won’t be driving gasoline-driven cars in the future. On line four, we have Carol calling from Shipdham.
Carol: Hello, Alan. I think that in the future, all city buses will probably be self-driving. They will be controlled by computers so that they don’t break the speed limit.
Alan: That’s a great prediction. I think that all commuters will probably travel to work on electric trains. Thank you all for calling in. After the news, we’ll ...
