Acne is so common that it is considered a normal part of puberty. Acne is a skin condition, and teenagers get acne because of the hormone changes that come with puberty. For most people, acne goes away almost completely by the time they are out of their teenager. Can I prevent ance?
- Wash your face once or twice a day wuth a mild soap and warm water. Don’t scurb your face hard with a washcloth - ance can’t be scrubbed away, and scrubbung may make it worse.
- If you have logn hair that touches your face, wash it often enough to keep oil away.
- If you are often in contact with, for example cooking in the kitchen, wash your face well when you complete cooking. It also can help to wash your face after you have been exercising.
Some people get help with ance from a doctor. A doctor may treat the acne with prescription medicines. Depending on the person’s acne, this may mean using creams to prevent pimples from forming or taking antibiotics to kill the bacteria that help create pimples.
