I. Objectives
After the lesson, students are able to:
- Pronounce correctly the sound of the letters “ct ” and “cts”. Listening and writing for specific information.
- Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves.
- Studious and obedient students and love their friends.
II. Language focus: Phonics: the letters “ct ” and “cts”.
III. Teaching aids:
- Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette.
- Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.
IV. Procedures:

Warm up - Have Ss play the game: Slap the board (subjects) 1. Listen and repeat. - Guide Ss to produce the sound of the letters “ct” and “cts”. - Check ss. 2. Listen and tick. Then write& say aloud. - Guide Ss to prepare and listen. - Check and correct. 3. Let’s chant (p56) - Introduce the Chant : What subjects do you...? -Teacher reinforce their pronunciation Reinforcement and homelink: | - Work in groups to play the game. - Ss look at the picture in part 1 and pay attention to the letters coloured differently. - Listen and learn to produce the sound of the letters “ct” and “cts”. - Listen the recording and note. - Ss repeat each line of the text in chorus. - Read in groups./ in pairs. - Give out and check. - Look at the sentences. Read & guess the words to tick - Listen the recording 2 times and tick. - Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner. - 4 Ss give the key. The rest of the class write in the notebooks. - Listen again to check and retell what they hear - Ss listen to the tape and chant - Ss chant in group & individual. - Ss chant and do the action - Check in pairs - Do at home. - Ss do exercises in C, D (WB) at home. |
