Lesson 1

I. Objectives

By the end of the lesson, student will be able to:

- identify word ea, sound /e/

- listen and identify some new words: head, sweater, bread, breakfast

II. Teaching aids

- Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette, recording

- Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

IIII. Procedures

*Warm up: Sing

A. Presentation

Activity 1. Look, listen and repeat

- Look at the picture

- Listen to the recording a few times

- Listen and repeat word by word

- Listen, point and repeat

- Work in groups to repeat

**Ss & T’s assessment: give oral comments (focus on their exact words and pronunciation)

B. Practice

Activity 2: Play game Slap the board

** T’s assessment: identify the words

C. Application

- Learn new words by heart.

WEEK 10 – PERIOD 20

UNIT 6: AT THE BREAKFAST TABLE

Lesson 2

I. Objectives

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- identify correctly about name of things

- pronounce correctly word ea to chant well

- listen and tick some pictures

II. Teaching aids

- Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cassette, recording

- Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

IIII. Procedures

*Warm up: Spend a few minutes revising some words: head, sweater, bread, breakfast

A. Practice

Activity 2. Point and say

- Look at the pictures. Point to the pictures and say words aloud.

- Work in pairs

Activity 3. Chant

- Read the chant and check comprehension.

- Play the recording a few times.

- Chant and do the actions. Call two groups

* Assessment:

Ss’ structure: I have bread for breakfast./ She’s putting on a sweater./ It’s over her head.

Ss’ chant: Chant beautifully/ well/ wonderfully/ …..

Activity 4. Listen and tick

- Check their comprehension.

- Play the recording.

- Listen and tick. Check their answers.

B. Application

- Learn a song by heart.
