Invercargill has the best of both worlds. It has a small population of about 57,000 people. There is little traffic and the air is very clean. There are lots of things to see and do in the city. People gave the city its nickname ‘The City of Water and Light’. During the day you can visit the parks and gardens and enjoy the bright sunshine. You can also go for a walk on the quiet beaches for sightseeing. At night you can go shopping at the night markets and meet the friendly local people. Visitors love coming to this special city.
