Quebec Winter Carnival
The Quebec Winter Carnival began in 1894 and it is the oldest winter festival in the world. Visitors can take part in competitions and eat traditional French-Canadian dishes.

Canada Day is on 1st July every year. People celebrate Canada's birthday by listening to live music and watching parades and fireworks displays.
INVENTIONS
Canadarm
The Canadarm is a robot arm to move heavy items in space. Anthony Zubrzycki built the first one with a team of scientists in 1981. They still use it today.
Converto-Braille
The Converto-Braille is a special computer printer. It can take any text and print it in Braille letters. Roland Galameau developed it in the 1960s and it made education much easier for blind students.

A trackball mouse is a pointing device consisting of a ball held by a socket containing sensors to detect a rotation of the ball about two axes—like an upside-down ball mouse with an exposed protruding ball. The trackball was invented as part of a post-World War II-era radar plotting system named Comprehensive Display System (CDS) by Ralph Benjamin when working for the British Royal Navy Scientific Service. With most trackballs, operators have to lift their finger, thumb or hand and reposition in on the ball to continue rolling, whereas a mouse would have to be lifted itself and re-positioned.
