II. Warmer (5’).
Guessing game:
I’d like a/ an/ some..... |
T. elicits 5 words from sts. E.g: an orange, some water, a banana, some chicken, ...
T. asks sts to choose one of them and write it down on a piece of paper and keep it secrete.
T. calls one st to the front of the class and the other sts must ask questions to guess the word. The st who guesses correctly is the next one up.
E.g: S1: Would you like an orange?
S2: No, I wouldn’t
S3: Would you like some water?
S2:Yes, please.
III. New lesson
Step 1: Presentation. (12’). Pre teach - my favotite food: món ăn yêu thích my favotite drink: đồ uống yêu thích - carrots: cà rốt - bean: hạt đậu - pea: đậu, đỗ hình tròn - iced tea: trà đá Checking voc: Picture drill - T ask ss to look at the pictures in C1 (P 112) - Run through all picture cues. - T. models => sts repeat Example: S1: What are these? S2 : They are beans. What are those? S1: They’re carrots. - Teacher – Whole class. - Open pairs => Close pairs. Rub out and remember dialogue - Set the scence: Nam and Lan are at the school canteen. They are talking about their favorite and drink - T- WC ; H-H ; open pairs - Rub out the underlined words while ss practice speaking. - Ask some students to fill in the gaps. - Check the words in the gaps. - Give model sentences. Do you like….? Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Step 2: Practice (15’). Word cue Drill - Run through all word cues - T. models => sts repeat Example: Do you like beans? Yes, I do Would you like some beans now? Yes, please / No, thanks - Teacher – Whole class. - Open pairs => Close pairs Step 3: Production (8’) Survey: - Ask sts to copy the table. - Ask sts to work in groups of 3. - Sts interview each other and fill in the form. Eg: Do you like chicken? etc… - Sts give feed back. Example: Nam likes and orange juice but he doesn’t like fish……. | Sts: - listen. - listen and repeat (chorally then individually). - copy. Nam: Do you like milk? Lan: Yes, I do Nam: Would you like a glass of milk? Lan: Yes, please. Do you like vegetables? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. -Would you like some vegetables? Yes, I would / Yes, please. No, I wouldn’t / No, thanks. Work in pairs
