A: Some people say that if you wake a sleepwalker, they will have a heart attack.
B: I don’t think that’s true. It’s often said that waking them is dangerous, but actually, they might just be confused or scared — not have a heart attack.
A: Right. What about “You should drink at least eight glasses of water a day”?
B: That’s believed to be good advice, but scientists say it depends on your body, diet, and activity level. Some of the water we need comes from food.
A: True. And “Being slightly fat is good for you”?
B: That might be true in some cases. It’s sometimes claimed that having a little extra weight can help protect you from certain illnesses, but being overweight still has risks.
A: Lastly, “Sleeping longer at weekends makes up for lost sleep.”
B: That’s thought to help in the short term, but it doesn’t fully make up for chronic sleep loss. It’s better to have a regular sleep schedule.
