Introduction
The purpose of this report is to describe the main ways in which students travel to and from our school and to suggest possible improvements to make transport safer, faster, and more environmentally friendly.
Current Situation
At present, the majority of students (around 60%) come to school by motorbike or scooter, either driven by their parents or by themselves if they are old enough. About 25% of students walk to school, especially those who live nearby. A smaller number, approximately 10%, travel by bicycle. Finally, only around 5% of students use public transport, such as buses, as the bus service is limited and not very convenient for many students.
Problems
There are several issues with the current transport situation. The large number of motorbikes causes traffic congestion at the school gates during rush hours. It also creates safety risks and contributes to air pollution. Meanwhile, students who walk or cycle sometimes face dangerous road conditions because of the lack of proper sidewalks and bike lanes.
Recommendations
It is recommended that the school encourage more students to use bicycles and public transport by providing safe bike parking and negotiating with local authorities to improve bus routes. In addition, the school could organise campaigns to promote walking and cycling as healthy and eco-friendly alternatives.
Conclusion
If these recommendations are implemented, transport to and from school will become safer, more efficient, and better for the environment.
