A. OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to talk about food and drink using some /any with there is / there are, positive, nagative and yes, No questions .

D. CONTENTS:

I. Organization:(1’)

II. Warmer (5’).

Network:

  • Says: "Think of the food and drink in 30 seconds".
  • Divides the class into two groups. Sts from two groups go to the board and write the names of the food and drink.
  • The group which writes more correct words wins the game.

Possible answers:

Food: noodles, fruit, meat, chicken, vegetables....

Drink: orange juice, a drink ...

Milk rice

 III. New lesson:

Step 1: Presentation (12’)

Pre teach

- meat (n): thịt

- rice (n): gạo, cơm

- fruit (n): trái cây

- milk (n): sữa

- vegetables (n): rau

- apple: quả táo

- water: nước

- banana: chuối

- orange: cam

Check voc: Dictation list: a, an, some

- Let Ss listen and write the words in right column.

- T reads: water, rice, banana, milk, vegetables, apple, meat,orange, bread, noodles, hot drink, orange juice, cold drink.

Presentation text : B2. P109

- T. sets the scene: Phuong and Thu are preparing for the luch. Listen to the tape.

- Sts listen and repeat.

- Sts practice saying the dialogue (open pairs then close pairs).

Comprehension Questions

- Ask sts to look at the list and tick (v) what’s for lunch on the list.

- Give feedback.

 

- T. elicits from the students to give the model sentences.

- T. asks Ss to read the model sentences.

=>Concept checking: Meaning, form, use, pronunciation.

Model sentences:

- Some: dùng trong câu khẳng định.

- Any: dùng trong câu hỏi và phủ định.
