Hanoi, one of the most ancient capitals in the world, is in the north Vietnam. It has got a population of about 4,900,000 in 2021. Hanoi is a unique combination both contemporary and classical architecture. There are a lot of colonial buildings, ancient pagodas, unique museums, skyscrapers or malls within the city centre. Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh and Sapa are must-see places not far from Hanoi. When I have on holidays, I usually go there with my family. However, I love to visit Hanoi most.

Phu Quoc island is in Kien Giang Province, Vietnam’s largest island, is in the south. It has a total area of 574 square kilometres and a permanent population of approximately 103,000. Visitors to Phu Quoc love its peaceful sea and long sandy beaches which distinguish it from other seaside resorts like Nha Trang and Da Nang. Moreover, they can take part in relaxing activities such as swimming, sun-bathing, boat-sailing, scuba diving, … Phu Quoc island is far from mainland, but I don’t feel bored during time in this place that has lots of things to entertain and explore.

Hội An is a small city in central Vietnam. It’s got beautiful ancient streets with yellow houses, lanterns, and riverside cafés. It’s very peaceful and the people are friendly and helpful. There are many temples, markets, and restaurants where you can try local food. Near Hội An, there are nice places like Cửa Đại Beach and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary. I sometimes go there for a walk, take photos, and enjoy the atmosphere. I think Hội An is one of the most charming cities in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in southern Vietnam. It’s got tall buildings, busy streets, and modern shopping centers. It’s very lively and the people are dynamic and friendly. There are many museums, markets, and pagodas to visit. Near the city, there are nice places like the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta. I sometimes go shopping, try street food, or walk around Nguyen Hue Walking Street. I think Ho Chi Minh City is an exciting place to live and visit.

Da Nang is a beautiful coastal city in central Vietnam. It is quite large, with more than one million people living there. The city is modern, clean, and very friendly. People in Da Nang are kind, helpful, and always welcome visitors. There are many interesting places in Da Nang, such as My Khe Beach, the Dragon Bridge, and the Han River. Near the city, you can also visit Ba Na Hills or the Marble Mountains, which are very popular with tourists. I really like Da Nang because it is lively but not too crowded, and it has both mountains and beaches to enjoy.
