Chuyên đề Ngữ âm - Ôn thi vào 10 tổng hợp kiến thức phát âm, trọng âm cùng các dạng bài tập Ngữ âm Tiếng Anh nâng cao có đáp án thường gặp trong đề tuyển sinh lớp 10. I. PHÁT ÂM

1. Quy tắc phát âm đuôi -ed

- /id/ với những từ có âm cuối là / t, d /

- /t/ với những từ có âm cuối là /p, f, k, s, ∫, t∫, θ /

- /d/ với những trường hợp còn lại

Một số trường hợp đặc biệt không có âm cuối là / t, d / nhưng khi thêm -ed được phát âm là /id/

hatred (sự căm ghét)	beloved (được yêu quý)	unmatched (không gì sánh bằng)	rugged (lởm chởm)
wretched (tả tơi)	wicked (nham hiểm)	crooked (luồn cúi)	ragged (rách nát)

- /iz/ với những từ có âm cuối là / s, z, ∫, t∫, d /

- /s/ với những từ có âm cuối là / p, t, k, f, θ /

4. Nguyên âm - Vowels (u, e, o, a, i)

a. Nguyên âm ngắn - Short vowels

· /ə/: ago, mother, together

· /i/: hit, bit, sit

· /ʌ/: study, shut, must

· /ɒ/: got job, hospital

· /u/: put, should, foot

· /e/: bed, send, tent, spend

· /æ/: cat, chat, man

b. Nguyên âm dài - Long vowels

· /iː/: meet, beat, heat

· /u:/: school, food, moon

· /a:/: father, star, car

· /ɔː/: sport, more, store

· /ɜː/: bird, shirt, early

c. Nguyên âm đôi- Diphthongs

· /ai/: buy, skỵ, hi, shy

· /ɔɪ/: boy, enjoy, toy

· /ei/: day, obey, stay

· /ou/: no, go, so

· /au/: now, sound, cow

· /ʊə/: poor, sure, tour

· /eə/: air, care, share

· /ɪə/: near, tear, cheer

5. Phụ âm - Consonants

· /b/: bag, baby

· /p/: pupil, pay, stop

· /d/: dog, daddy, dead

· /k/: kiss, key

· /m/: mother, map, come

· /j/: yes, yellow

· /n/: many, none, news

· /s/: see, summer

· /l/: love, lucky, travel

· /z/: zoo, visit

· /r/: river, restaurant

II. TRỌNG ÂM

1. Trọng âm của từ có 2 âm tiết

Từ mang hai chức năng	Trọng âm thay đổi theo chức năng	‘record (n) – re’cord (v) ‘present (n) – pre’sent (v) ‘desert (n) – de’sert (v)
